While Lili Bosse’s tenure as Mayor may have come to an end, the weekly walks she hosted as part of her #BHHEALTHYCITY initiative live on as the #BHHEALTHYCITY Walk.
The first stop on last week’s inaugural #BHHEALTHYCITY Walk was local bakery Tutto Bene on Crescent, where walkers were treated to delicious, kosher-for-Passover pastries and coffee and learned not just about their scratch made goodies but also a little bit about the Passover holiday.
Participants made their way down to the second stop, Reeves Park, where Beverly Hills historian Phil Savenick shared his knowledge about the park’s namesake, horticulturalist John J. Reeves who designed our city’s famous street tree planting concept. Attendees were then joined by the #BHHEALTHYCITY Easter Bunny for a fun and spirited Holiday Egg Hunt. Everyone walked away winners, with one lucky person finding the golden egg and winning a generous gift certificate to Tutto Bene.
This coming Monday, April 2nd, #BHHEALTHYCITY Walk will take participants to the Beverly Hills original and now world-famous Sprinkles Cupcakes on Santa Monica Boulevard to sample their delectable, just-in-time-for-Passover flourless chocolate cupcakes as they continue this Monday tradition with other fun activities along the way.
The first 25 walkers will be greeted with special-edition #BHHEALTHYCITY Walk “swag,” so walk (or run!) over to meet the group at the Crescent Drive side of City Hall at 8:30 a.m. Monday morning. For more information, you can go to www.bhhealthycitywalk.com or email email@example.com.
Monday is still the best day of the week!
