The Beverly Hills Police Department will be out in force for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 7, with live demonstrations and displays, kid-friendly activities and a host of fun for the entire family.
National Night Out, which has been held annually since 1984 in the United States and Canada, began as a community-police awareness campaign with neighbors simply turning on their porch lights and sitting in front of their homes.
Since those early days, the event has evolved in some cities to be as simple as backyard barbecues and in others, as complex as full-blown festivals.
