The Jewish National Fund (JNF) will host its annual Tree of Life Gala at The Beverly Hills Hotel on Thursday, October 3, 2013. The event will honor local residents Orna and David Delrahim and feature comedian Joel Chasnoff as Master of Ceremonies. Cocktail reception and silent auction will begin at 5:30 pm and the program will follow at 6:30 pm.
“We are proud to be honoring Orna and David Delrahim with this year’s Tree of Life Award,” said JNF Los Angeles Executive Director Allison Krumholz. “They are truly dedicated to supporting not only the local Jewish community, but to supporting JNF and the land of Israel and its people.”
The Tree of Life Award is a humanitarian award given in recognition of outstanding community involvement, dedication to the cause of American-Israeli friendship, and devotion to peace and security of human life.
Joel Chasnoff will serve as master of ceremonies for the evening. Chasnoff is a stand-up comic and writer who also served a tour of duty in the Israel Defense Forces. He has performed at over 1,000 colleges, clubs, and Jewish organizations worldwide.
Proceeds from the Tree of Life Gala benefit JNF’s partnership with The OR Movement. Together, JNF and The OR Movement are dedicated to populating and developing the Negev and Galilee regions of Israel. To date, JNF and The OR Movement have established seven new communities and successfully relocated 200,000 residents to the Negev and Galilee.
The event is open to the public and tickets can be purchased online at jnf.org/latol. For more information or to RSVP by phone, contact Johanna Rose at firstname.lastname@example.org or 323.964.1400 x965.
