After years of batting around the issue, on Tuesday the Beverly Hills Unified School District Board of Education took responsibility for protecting students and school property throughout the district.
The board voted 4-1 to provide armed security officers at each of the district’s five schools starting Monday. Board member Isabel Hacker was the lone ‘no’ vote to the decision.
