Following an additional $3 million in unanticipated revenue, including a $1.9 million property tax revenue increase received at the end of last month, Beverly Hills Unified School District’s latest 2017-18 budget is projecting the district will finish out the year with an operating deficit of just $400,000. That current fund balance is markedly better than April’s previous estimated budget, which had the district projecting an operating deficit of $2.8 million for this year.
