The Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) and the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) equaled 111 firefighters to knock down a blaze that has burned 1-1.5 acres in the area of 913 N. Beverly Glen Boulevard in the Bel-Air/Holmby Hills area.
The brush fire broke out at about noon Tuesday. Helicopters and hand crews were dispatched to fight the blaze, which was extinguished within a few hours.
Currently, the Bel-Air Association (BAA) is reporting that ground crews will remain on the scene and that road closures will remain in effect for the next few hours for clean up.
The fire initially threatened one structure, which was soon surrounded by firefighters, according to the BAA website. No evacuations were ordered. The DOT has all traffic stopped on Beverly Glen Boulevard between the Glen Market and St. Pierre Road until clean up is completed as needed.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
