A man was taken into custody today on suspicion of fatally stabbing another man in the Mission Hills area. The crime occurred at about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 13900 block of La Rue Street, according to the coroner's office and the Los Angeles Police Department.

He was wanted by LASD Transit Policing Division detectives in connection with the defacement of a Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Venice, California just before Memorial Day this year. The wall is located at the rear of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Division 6.
