Disneyland Parade To Honor Super Bowl Champion Peyton Manning

Peyton Manning will be honored in a parade today on Disneyland's Main Street U.S.A., one day after quarterbacking the Denver Broncos to a victory in Super Bowl 50. The parade, which is set to begin at 12:45 p.m., continues a tradition begun in 1987 with then-New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms after he was selected as the MVP of Super Bowl XXI, which was played at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Pat Haden To Retire As USC Athletic Director

Haden-Nikias-McKay USC Athletic Director Pat Haden will retire at the end of June after six years in the post, the university announced today. He will continue working with the university for one year to help guide the renovation of Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, according to a letter sent to alumni by USC President C.L. Max Nikias. NFL: Chargers Agree In Principle To Join Rams In Los Angeles, Will Attempt To Work Out Deal In San Diego

The San Diego Chargers reportedly reached an agreement in principle today to share the Rams future stadium in Inglewood, but won't quite be moving to Los Angeles just yet. Less than an hour after news of the agreement broke, Chargers owner Dean Spanos announced the team will play the 2016 season in San Diego, and hopes to work out a long-term deal with the franchise's home of 55 years. If a San Diego stadium deal cannot be reached by 2017, the Chargers would join Rams owner Stan Kroenke's Inglewood stadium project.     Read More
