Mayor John Mirisch presented a proclamation congratulating Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) on its “contribution to the CyberTech Beverly Hills Conference and outstanding achievements in cybersecurity” at at the Peninsula Beverly Hills. Accepting the proclamation and one of the keynote speakers was BGU President Prof. Rivka Carmi M.D. BGU is playing a critical role in Israel’s cybersecurity capital of Beer-Sheva.
Cybersecurity is one of the areas of cooperation in an agreement signed last year between California and the State of Israel.
The event was sponsored by American Associates, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and Jerusalem Venture Partners. It was attended by many Beverly Hills and area donors to the university as well as representatives from the L.A. Israeli Consulate.
