The race for three seats on the Beverly Hills City Council is entering the home stretch, but it’s not quite officially over yet.

Since election day, the L.A. County Registrar-Recorder has released two updates which featured new results after counting additional provisional and vote-by-mail ballots.

A third update is set to be released Friday at 1 p.m., which should provide finalized results for the City of Beverly Hills.

After Tuesday’s update, Mayor John Mirisch widened his lead to 2,053 votes, followed by Les Friedman at 1,871, Robert Wunderlich at 1,862 and Nancy Krasne at 1,817.

John Mirisch – 2,053
Les Friedman – 1,871
Robert Wunderlich – 1,862
Nancy Krasne – 1,817
Eliot Finkel – 1,570
Vera Markowitz – 1,080
Frances Bilak – 1,006
Jim Wayne – 219

City Clerk Byron Pope said late Thursday that Friday’s update from L.A. County will include an additional 209 provisional ballots and 26 vote-by-mail.

Pope said the latest information from the County was that Friday’s update will likely be the final day of vote updates.

The Courier will update the election results after they are released Friday afternoon.
