• The command center which was at sunset at the 405 is being dismantled to open traffic and being moved to the VA.

• They are opening northbound lanes on the 405.

• They remain concerned about winds around 2 PM and 10 PM tonight in particular.

• Mandatory evacuation for the affected areas will remain in place for the moment and will be reassessed within six hours.

• Twitter and the alert system will be updated shortly at my request.

• Six homes have been lost on Moraga Casiano and Linda Flora.

• Things have largely cooled down but Is highly subject to winds, and fire retardant has been dropped by aircraft in the area around Linda Flora.

• Fire equipment is being removed from Moraga as they feel it is largely resolved.

• There are still hot spots on Linda Flora.

• With the water drops they have made great progress but they are concerned about the winds.

• The neighborhood should still be prepared to evacuate if needed and should still have the grab and go bags ready.

“READY-SET-GO! CONTINUALLY MONITOR THE MEDIA – means that if you live in this area you must always be ready to go! Its better to go early than late.” Bel Air is on fire, and that is what the LAFD said in a statement during a press conference with LA Mayor Eric Garcetti at 9:40 a.m. STAY TUNED!

From the neighbors on the ground in Brentwood, here is the latest -but, things are changing fast:
There have been mandatory evacuations for the area east of the 405 Fwy, South of Mulholland Dr, West of Roscomare Rd, and North of Sunset Blvd.
Homes are threatened on Roscomare and Linda Flora.
At this moment, Mandeville Canyon is being evacuated.  However, at at this moment the fire is moving East.  Mountain Gate communities are told to shelter in place.
Check www.Nixle.us/9qyz9 for evacuations centers.  If you have room for a horse or other livestock, check Clair Baddie’s post on NextDoor.  The non-profits and Pierce College have run out of space to keep the animals.

Tips:
  • Wear a mask – espicially the kids.
  • turn off your sprinklers
  • stay off the Freeway
  • check schools and stores before getting on the road.  Lots are closed
  • Check your local station news for more info.  Most of the time that info is current.
