It was 25 years ago when then-Beverly Hills Mayor Robert Tanenbaum sponsored a concert featuring the Faithful Central Missionary Baptist Church at Beverly Hills High School to promote unity and tolerance in the LA area following the devastating 1992 riots that rocked the region with violence.
Amidst the soul-searching that followed, Tanenbaum reached out to the communities affected by the riots, extending an olive branch that endures today.
