Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is scheduled to hold her first Southern California fundraiser since receiving the Democratic presidential nomination on Aug. 22 in Beverly Hills, with several prominent entertainment industry executives chairing the event.
Tickets for the evening event are $2,700 per person, according to an invitation obtained by City News Service. The ticket price is the maximum individual contribution to a presidential candidate under federal law.
A VIP reception and dinner are also being planned. Ticket prices are expected to be higher for those events, with the additional funds customarily allocated to the Democratic National Committee and state Democratic parties.
Chairs for the event include Walt Disney Co. Chairman and CEO Robert A. Iger; DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg; Haim Saban, the chairman and CEO of the Saban Capital Group Inc., whose assets include the Spanish-language television network Univision; and Casey Wasserman, chairman of the committee seeking to bring the 2024 Olympics to Los Angeles and chairman and CEO of the marketing and management agency Wasserman.
