The iconic restaurant closed its doors last weekend after serving the Beverly Hills community for nearly three decades. Kate Mantilini’s opened in Beverly Hills in the 1980s by late actor Harry Lewis and his wife Marilyn.
Their sons Adam and David Lewis had been operating the restaurant for several years until its closure. Adam told The Courier the closure was simply because the restaurant was unable to pay escalating rent costs.
