There are over 870 dogs and over 530 cats waiting to be adopted or fostered at Los Angeles Animal Services today. These loving animals find themselves in the shelter in often fearful conditions. This is kitten season, and there are many cats and kittens who are looking for a better life. For our canine friends, the pit bull terrier and the Chihuahua are all-too-often in the shelter. LA Animal Services can be found at www.laanimalservices.com, where you can view all of these lovely animals on their website.

The shelter has many animals that are waiting. Here are a few:

LUCY – ID#A1658159 is a sweet spayed female Pit Bull Terrier. She is only 3, but she has spent almost a year at the shelter. She weighs 58 pounds and has been at the shelter since Nov. 3, 2016. She needs a home badly. If you are a lover of animals and would like to help, but cannot commit to a dog long-term, maybe you would consider becoming a foster

This DOG – ID#A1729564 is an unaltered sweet-faced Golden Retriever mix- who doesn’t even have a name. I am an unaltered female, gold Golden Retriever mix. She is estimated to be about 7 years old and weighs about 55 pounds. She needs a home, too. She has been at the shelter since Sept. 17.

This DOG – ID#A1728836 is another baby without a name… a red Golden Retriever and Chow Chow mix. He is only 11 months old, and appears to be underweight at 40 pounds. He has been waiting since Sept. 24.

This DOG – ID#A1730426 is an unnamed beautiful unaltered tan-and-black German Shepherd dog. He is only three years old. He weighs 62 pounds and has been at the shelter since Sept. 21.

This CAT – ID#A1725899 is a tiny, 2-month-old nameless unaltered female, black Domestic Shorthair. She is only 2 pounds. She just arrived at the shelter on Oct. 6. She needs a home where she can learn love.
This CAT – ID#A1725898 is probably her sibling. . . He is an unaltered male, black Domestic Shorthair. He too, is only 2 months, 2 pounds and arrived on the same day.

PEPPER – ID#A1731149 is another baby kitty, at 5 months old. She is about 3 pounds, and is a female, gray Domestic Mediumhair. She has been at the shelter since Sep 25, 2017.
