The following letter is being distributed on behalf of Beverly Hills Police and Community Together (PACT) as a show of support from residents for the men and women who serve in the Beverly Hills Police Department in light of the violence that has occurred in Dallas and throughout the country and the world in recent days:
The recent horrendous deaths of five heroic police officers in Dallas have reminded us
once again how grateful we, the residents of Beverly Hills, are for our excellent police
department. It is time to show our support to the officers who do such an outstanding
job in our community.
Beverly Hills Police and Community Together (“PACT“) was formed almost 20 years ago
to show our support and appreciation for our BHPD. We were among the founders.
You may recall “Police Appreciation Week” (which included blue ribbons on trees all
over the city, picnics, gifts donated to the BHPD officers by BH stores and restaurants
and many of us bringing breakfasts and dinners to the police at roll call). You still see
“Police And Community Together” on each police car.
We believe that there is no better time for the residents and businesses of Beverly Hills
to come together again and show our heartfelt support for our BHPD. We would like
members of our community to provide and serve breakfast and dinner at morning and
evening BHPD roll calls. We’d like to do this as soon and as often as possible.
* WE NEED VOLUNTEERS to bring a dish and help serve. Coming to roll call and
bringing a meal is one way each of us can make a very personal statement of gratitude
and appreciation. It is also great to meet personally with our officers and tell them how
much we appreciate everything they do for us.
* Please reply today to email@example.com let us know if you will provide
and serve breakfast at 6:00 a.m. roll call and/or dinner at 6:00 p.m. roll call.
Please be sure to include your phone number and address.
Please share this email with a friend or neighbor who might like to be part of this
