Pepperdine’s School of Public Policy will host a debate on the Future of Foreign Policy at the Writers’ Guild Theater in Beverly Hills on June 26 at 7 p.m, sponsored by the Los Angeles World Affairs Council.
Experts from across the spectrum of conservatism will discuss President Donald Trump’s high profile, often shocking foreign policy moves, and what underlies his public statements. What is conservative foreign policy and what does that mean in the Age of Trump, from the drama at the G7 to the Singapore summit with North Korea?
The panelists include Pepperdine University Professor of Public Policy Robert G. Kaufman, a political scientist specializing in American foreign policy, national security, international relations and various aspects of American politics. Kaufman is the author of four books, and is a former Bradley Scholar and current adjunct scholar at the Heritage Foundation.
