For the second time since the new school year began, Hawthorne students were forced to shelter in place following a neighborhood incident on Tuesday. This week’s scare came just days after a family-related neighborhood disturbance on North Elm last Thursday prompted the school to enact the same protocol of keeping students in classrooms.
