Longtime resident and lifelong educator Rachelle Marcus officially became the first candidate to throw her hat in the ring for one of two upcoming seats on the Beverly Hills Board of Education.
The Nov. 6 election will fill seats being vacated by Board President Lisa Korbatov, who is now finishing her ninth year on the board, and board member Howard Goldstein, now in his fifth year. Both incumbent board members have publicly said they do not plan to run again.
