The City Council Tuesday rejected a request by Councilmember John Mirisch to call up 9200 Wilshire Boulevard to review approvals and conditions previously granted by the Beverly Hills Planning Commission in a vote of 4-1, with Mirisch opposing.
Saying that the City Council should review the project because “it is about spot zoning and decisions made before we got here. We have the ability to make it better,” Mirisch seemed to be reaching beyond the City Council’s purview to alter those decisions.
