US Congressman Ted Lieu ignited this year’s Beverly Hills High School Career Day, which included more than 80 prominent professionals, with a message of perseverance.

The Beverly Hills High School Academic Decathlon team finished #6 in California and #11 in the nation at this year's State Final Competition, which took place in Sacramento over the weekend. The team's score of 51,511 was the 2nd highest in school history. Last year's BHHS team took fifth at the state competition.

 

Beverly Hills High Boys Basketball Team Claims Ocean League Championship

Beverly Hills High's boys basketball team clinched an outright Ocean League championship on Tuesday night, and perhaps more importantly, everyone got home safely and injury free after the game. Denzel Holt scored 15 points and Ryan Manoocheri added 14 points to help Beverly Hills High to a 56-40 Ocean League win over Santa Monica on Senior Night at the Swim Gym.

The Westboro Baptist Church arrived in Beverly Hills on Monday afternoon, but it met some opposition in the form of Beverly Hills High School students. Nearly 70 BHHS students, parents and other community members turned out to fight back against the Westboro Baptist Church's protest outside of Beverly Hills High at the intersection of Durant and Moreno Drive.

Beverly Hills News – Search Begins For New Beverly Hills High School Principal

Beverly Hills High School may soon say farewell to Principal Carter Paysinger at the end of the school year when his two-year contract expires in June. Earlier today, the Beverly Hills Unified School District posted a Request for Proposal to hire a search firm to oversee its efforts to hire a new principal to helm BHHS. Paysinger, who filed suit last year against the BHUSD for alleged discrimination, was informed that he was welcome to apply for the position he has held since 2010.  

Beverly Hills News – Beverly Hills High School Receives 2nd Bomb Threat This Month

Beverly Hills High School received its second telephonic bomb threat this month when an unidentified caller phoned the school at approximately 12:30 p.m., Beverly Hills Police Sgt. Max Subin confirmed. BHPD is now investigating the campus and all students have been evacuated to the football field, he said.
