AMC’s “Breaking Bad” received a towering send-off tonight at the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards, earning statuettes including outstanding drama series, actor, supporting actor and supporting actress, while “Modern Family” stretched its winning streak as the top comedy series to five years.
Over 100 walkers joined Beverly Hills Mayor Lili Bosse Monday to Walk with the Mayor, enjoying the hospitality of two local businesses, Andor’e Salon in the Rodeo Collection and Equinox. The group were joined by Beverly Hills resident Rose Norton, mother of Beverly Hills historian and filmmaker Phil Savenick, for the tour of Equinox.

Despite the opposition of dozens of residents, attorneys for the Bel Air Association (BAA) and the Bel Air Homeowners Alliance (BAHA) and Shawn Bayless, Planning and Land Use Deputy for Los Angeles 11th District Paul Koretz and Leonard Nimoy, beloved star of Star Trek -Los Angeles Board of Building and Safety Commissioners approved the hauling for a massive project at 10697 Somma Way. The project will require the removal of 50,000 cubic yards of soil, revealed the lawyers, including a previously undisclosed 19,634 cubic yards to excavate and install 270 soldier piles, for which the City of Los Angeles does not require disclosure in the goal route permit or Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND).
At the request of Commissioner Frances Bilak, the Beverly Hills Recreation and Parks Commission will discuss the possibility of adding a new ad hoc committee whose purpose would be to represent the Commission in matters involving the Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) between the City of Beverly Hills and the Beverly Hills Unified School District at their meeting Tuesday.
