Voices of Hope – Beverly Hills residents were on their feet Sunday, singing in unison along with Faithful Central Bible Church Choir of Inglewood at The Wallis

Beverly Hills residents were on their feet Sunday, singing in unison along with Faithful Central Bible Church Choir of Inglewood at The Wallis for a concert commemorating 25 years since the City hosted the group following the Rodney King riots, when then-Mayor Robert Tanenbaum (third from right) reached out to then-Pastor, now Bishop Kenneth Ulmer (second from right)  for the concert entitled Voices of Hope. Ulmer’s work has expanded to include the Ulmer Institute, treating trauma for all people, in all walks of life (www.theulmerinstitute.org). Domino Don’t let this Domino fall. Domino is a 1-year-old Beagle mix who weighs about 20 pounds. Domino is great with kids and other dogs. He was found near a rural road in Delano after his sibling was hit by a car. He stayed next to his brother for almost two days until rescuers picked them both up. Rebecca’s Ready – Rebecca, a 3-year-old Ridgeback boxer mix, is ready for her new home

Rebecca Rebecca, a 3-year-old Ridgeback boxer mix, is ready for her new home. Rebecca is 75 pounds and plays great with other dogs and all humans. She survived Hurricane Harvey and was impregnated while looking for food and a safe place to sleep. She ended up at an abandoned grocery store with hundreds of lost dogs being cared for by volunteers, but her owners never came to retrieve her. Rebecca wasn’t microchipped, nor was she wearing a collar. Rebecca’s luck changed when Houston Astros pitcher Lance McCullers rented a plane and flew 30 Hurricane Harvey dogs to California  Rebecca loaded the plane with the 11 puppies she gave birth to while living at the grocery store.
