Picklefest – Ron Sasiela of Los Angeles was named creator of the Best Dill Pickle in Beverly Hills at Sunday’s Picklefest event at the Beverly Hills Farmer’s Market

Adam Wetsman, Elise Knebel, judge and owner of Nate ‘n Al Mark Mendelson, Mayor Lili Bosse, Michelle Wasserman and Councilmember Lester Friedman Ron Sasiela of Los Angeles was named creator of the Best Dill Pickle in Beverly Hills at Sunday’s Picklefest event at the Beverly Hills Farmer’s Market. Darrell Fluman of Chatsworth earned second place an Adam Wetsman of Beverly Hills took third. In the “I Can Pickle That” category, 1st place was awarded to Elise Knebel of Los Angeles, the 14-year-old daughter of Public Works Executive Ilene Knebel and an incoming freshman at BHHS with her pickled golden beets. The winners received gift certificates for Nate n’ Al Delicatessen for $200, $100 and $50 each. Judges included Mark Mendeleson of Nate ‘n Al, sponsors for the event; Recreation and Parks Commissioner Julian Javor, Team Beverly Hills member Charlie Tercek and local resident Alana Friedman.
