Woofstock is coming to Beverly Hills' Roxbury Park; the beloved doggie extravaganza is everything dog, from mutts to massage, all under one roof. Rained out in March, the event was rescheduled for Sunday, June 26 at Roxbury Park Wiggly Field, from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Local youth from Kid Unity visited the Beverly Hills Rec and Parks department last week as part of the group’s ongoing visits with different community organizations to learn how they do their jobs. At a meeting of the Beverly Hills Recreation and Parks Commission Monday that agendized a dog park at Roxbury Park, activist Mark Elliot presented a petition signed by 40 people, once again raising the question about the location for a City dog park, and once again, getting shot down.
With a promised dog park at Foothill and Alden Drive stalled in environmental reviews, Beverly Hills seems to be the most doggie un-enlightened city West Los Angeles. No other city is without a dog park. One resident has again raised the question of bringing the dogs to Roxbury Park.
