Resident and Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts board member Carol Goldsmith traveled to The Homestead National Monument, just outside the city of Beaturice, Neb. to watch the total 2017 solar eclipse on Aug. 21.
The Homestead was designated by NASA as an official site for watching the eclipse.
Those gathered at the monument enjoyed an exposure time of two minutes and 25 seconds. “It was more thrilling than I ever could have imagined,” said Goldsmith.
