Prep Basketball: Normans place two on All CIF-SS team
Beverly Hills High School’s girls basketball team was recognized Monday by the California Interscholastic Federation’s Southern Section, which released its All-Division 2-A team that included senior Miranda Abdul-Mansour and junior Chelsea Austin.
Abdul-mansour, who led the Normans in scoring averaging 22 points per game, was named to the first team. Austin average of 13.9 points per game along with 13.2 rebounds per game, was named to the second team.
The honors cap a season that saw the Normans reached the semi-finals of the 2-A girls tournament before losing (80-63) to the Mater Dei Monarchs. Beverly Hills was selected for the CIF State Championships, with the Normans advancing to the second round before losing (80-39)to Hanford.
