Hair Cuts For A Cause

Who says getting your hair cut can’t be fun and a benefit to others? On Sunday, Jan. 15, Debby Parker, owner of Tipperary Hair Styles for Girls and Boys will host a day of haircuts, food, fun and activities to benefit Chai Lifeline West Coast, the regional branch of the acclaimed health-service organization.

Chai Lifeline is a non-profit organization passionately dedicated to helping children with cancer and life-threatening illnesses. For more than 25 years, Chai Lifeline has provided crucial emotional, social and financial support to families coping with the short- and long-term repercussions of life-threatening and lifelong pediatric illness.

This is the second year Parker has hosted the event. Throughout the day, Debby and her stylists will offer $25 haircuts. All the proceeds of the day will go to Chai Lifeline.

The event will include kid-friendly snacks and beverages, prizes and fun raffles. Additionally, each child will receive a special gift bag for participating.

Parker has a special relationship to Chai Lifeline. For the past 11 years, Parker and the Tipperary stylists have hosted Chai Lifeline’s annual Beauty Day, a day of beauty make-overs and pampering for seriously ill girls and their sisters.

“I love being a part of Chai Lifeline’s Beauty Day. The girls have such a great time and leave feeling like princesses. The opportunity to raise the spirits of children coping with serious illnesses is priceless. It makes us all just feel good to be a part of this organization,” said Parker.

The Jan. 15 event will be from 9 a.m-4 pm
