Whitney Houston’s Death will be Ruled an Accident
Singer Whitney Houston’s Feb. 11 death will be ruled an accident, E! Entertainment is reporting today, citing a source close to the investigation which it did not identify.
The pop icon’s autopsy toxicology results could be turned over to the Beverly Hills Police Department by next week, a story on the entertainment channel’s website said.
The Los Angeles County coroner’s office, which will make an official determination on the cause of Houston’s death, would not comment on the report.
Houston, 48, was pronounced dead at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where she was scheduled to attend a pre-Grammy Awards ceremony.
A member of entourage found her underwater and unconscious in the bathtub of her room at the hotel, police said.
Coroner’s officials have said that some prescription drugs were found in Houston’s hotel room, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Police have said they do not suspect foul play her death.
