405 Closure at Sepulveda Pass Tuesday Evening
Southbound lanes of the San Diego (405) Freeway in the Sepulveda Pass will be closed at midnight tonight and remain blocked until 5 a.m. as part of the ongoing effort to add a carpool lane and make other improvements to the roadway.
The Skirball Bridge over the freeway will be closed from midnight to 6 a.m.
The freeway shutdown will extend from the Ventura (101) Freeway to Getty Center Drive. Sepulveda Boulevard will remain open as a detour. Ramps will begin to close as early as 7 p.m. and lanes will start shutting down at 10 p.m., according to Metro, which is overseeing the project.
The northbound lanes and the bridge will be closed during the same hours Thursday through Sunday mornings.
A list of daily closures is available at www.metro.net/405 or at twitter.com/I_405.
