‘Cal Spirit XXIX’ Gourmet Food/Wine Fest Set For July 28, To Benefit American Cancer Society

It’s been called the “most delicious Sunday of the year.”
It is “California Spirit XXIX,” a gourmet food and wine festival saluting the American Cancer Society which currently is celebrating its centennial year.
Hosted by Barbara Lazaroff and Sherry Lansing, the event will be at the Pacific Design Center on July 28 from 4 p.m.
Many of the area’s top chefs, restaurants and vintners will join forces for one of the largest annual summer galas which has raised more than $15 million for research, education, prevention and patient service programs to finish the fight against cancer.
This year’s culinary participants include Angelini Osteria/Riva Bella, Chinois on Main, Cut in The Beverly Wilshire, The Foundry on Melrose, Hotel bel-Air, Matshuisa, Nonna of Italy, Osteria Mozza, Patina, Red O., Red Seven, Rock Sugar Pan Asian Kitchen, Spago Beverly Hills, Wolfgang Puck Catering and WP24.
There will also be al fresco live music plus a huge array of auction items including an Italian trip and cruise.
