Beverly Hills News – Metro Info Meeting Friday for Wilshire Closures

In late January, the Beverly Hills City Council deferred action on two work permits requested by Metro. They asked Metro to hold a special meeting for those closest to the area where work will take place before they consider these requests again.

Towards this end, two meetings will be held this Thursday, February 13 that are open to the public. One will be held during the day and one in the early evening. The information is intended for those who live and work in the area. The content at each meeting will be identical. Individuals who live and work along Wilshire between La Cienega and San Vicente, as well as on La Cienega, Hamilton, Gale, Tower and San Vicente are especially encouraged to attend.

The meeting will provide information about construction of the station at Wilshire/La Cienega that is part of Section 1 of the project. Pre-construction activities for Section 1 are currently underway and construction is expected to start later this year. Topics to be discussed include

  • What to expect during pre-construction and construction
  • Advance Utility Relocation schedule for 2014
  • How to stay informed
  • Mitigation measures

Notices for these meetings are being delivered along Wilshire from Willaman to San Vicente and on cross streets one block north and south of Wilshire in that area.

The meetings are scheduled for the following times and locations:

12:15 PM at 8383 Wilshire Boulevard, Suite 800, Beverly Hills
