SiliconBeachClearly: #UberALLACCESS in the Desert
Latest breaking from SiliconBeachClearly.com:
Coachella has returned to the desert and so is Uber. And not only will it be back in the Valley for the festival, the popular taxi-alternative, app-based service will be planting permanent roots as well. In celebration of its official launch in the Palm Springs area, the company is offering several special promotions during the big events*.
From April 18-20, riders can enter the code ‘UberALLACCESS’ under the promotions tab of the app. Try it out and you could end up seated next to Gareth Emery en route to an exclusive pool party, or at another event with Disclosure. Other prizes include a brunch for two at GTA inside the Viceroy Palm Springs, a car full of swag bags, and other surprises to be announced.
The way it works is that whenever one of these experiences is available, a special “ALL ACCESS” button will show up in the app. The first person to get a request through to Uber will win — and they’ll be able to bring along a guest, of course.
UberX in Palm Springs is now priced 25 percent less than a cab. In addition to UberX, the company will also now have Black Cars and SUVs available 24/7 in the area. There are other options for groups during the festival, such as UberSTRETCH.
*Note that for pickups and drop offs from the Coachella festival grounds, there is only one designated area that Uber cars will enter. Go to the Uber Lounge in Lot 1C, near the intersection of Avenue 49 and Monroe Street. Staff members will be there to assist you.
