By Victoria Talbot

Beverly Hills celebrated 100 Years of Horse Power Sunday, with the annual Rodeo Drive Concours D’Elegance. The Concours also marked the City of Beverly Hills Centennial Celebration, featuring Maserati as the “Honored Marque.” Museum-quality automobiles representing the highest quality installation of vehicles illustrated the history of both the City of Beverly Hills and the history of the American love affair with automotive excellence.

Among the vehicles was the Wells Fargo Wagon, vehicles owned by Fred Astaire, Jean Harlow, Tom Mix and Howard Hughes,  and a superb combination of rare automobiles and motorcycles highlighting the past, present and future of the crossroads of fashion, films and automotive history.

Concours Chairman Bruce Meyer explained,”This will be the most highly curated show in the Rodeo Drive concours’ 21-year history with spectacular examples of cars that have raced the winding tree-lined streets of Beverly Hills over the past century.”

Vendors, cars, food trucks and merchants entertained hundreds of car enthusiasts and families strolling through the streets to gaze at the fine automobiles. Families celebrating Father’s Day enjoyed perfect weather for the fine affair.
