Stanford and Iowa football players will square off in the Rose Bowl today, but they stormed Beverly Hills this week and filled up at the annual Lawry’s Beef Bowl. The Rose Bowl tradition, held every year at Lawry’s The Prime Rib in Beverly Hills, pits the two Rose Bowl combatants against each other to see which team can consume the most meat. Today, starting at noon in the United Kingdom, the Beverly Hills High School Marching Band will celebrate the beginning of 2016 by performing in the London New Year’s Day Parade (LNYDP). The three-and-a-half-hour parade, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, boasts more than 8,500 performers from 20 countries, including most members of the 90-member BHHS marching band.
