Charged Up: Beverly Hills Could Soon Charge For EV Spots

The City of Beverly Hills took a step closer to charging for the use of Electric Vehicle (EV) parking stations at the Traffic & Parking Commission’s meeting last Thursday.
Beverly Hills has 35 publicly available EV charging spots in the City’s 14 parking facilities and Roxbury Park, but abuse of those parking spaces has become a source of frustration for City officials.
“There’s never any empty parking spaces. People park in these spots all day.” Commissioner Andy Licht said at the group’s December meeting.
