The Beverly Hills Garden and Open Space Initiative will appear on the ballot Nov. 8 by a unanimous decision of the Beverly Hills City Council.

“If this is what the public wants, this is what they should have,” said Councilmember Julian Gold.

Voters will decide on a proposal to amend The Beverly Hilton Specific Plan to eliminate the approved 8-story residential building on Wilshire Boulevard and consolidate it with the 18-story residential building on Santa Monica Boulevard to create one 26-story building, along with a publicly-accessible 1.7-acre garden.
