Honoring Beverly Hills Civic Leader Warren Ackerman
The Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce and the Beverly Hills Conference and Visitors Bureau (CVB) honored Warren Ford Ackerman this week, on what would have been his 100th birthday, with a commemorative wall of photos and memorabilia, a luncheon and a plaque.
Ackerman founded the CVB and served in the Chamber of Commerce from 1952-2012, 60 years. His civic contributions to the City of Beverly Hills are legendary, encompassing an array of activities that included the founding of the Ambassadors, presenting the Will Rogers Memorial awards for 25 years, serving as Master of Ceremonies at the Chamber of Commerce balls, president of the Civic Service Commission and more.
“Warren Ford Ackerman was a gentleman of great vision with many accomplishments for the City of Beverly Hills. He rolled up his sleeves and worked tirelessly with devotion as a citizen for the greater good for the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce and the City of Beverly Hills,” reads the plaque presented in his honor.
