Incident At El Rodeo Ignites Safety Concerns

El Rodeo students and staff got a bit of a scare on Friday morning when a man jumped the fence shortly after school began.

Just as the school day was about to commence, around 8:25 a.m., Beverly Hills Police approached a man who was exhibiting erratic behavior on Whittier Drive and attempting to enter the El Rodeo campus. After a district security guard stationed at the school’s front gate prevented the man from entering,  he ran a short distance down Whittier and jumped the fence into the El Rodeo schoolyard.
