Walk with the Mayor, part of Mayor Lili Bosse’s #BHHealthyCity initiative, continues testing the virtues of great coffee Monday morning with a visit to La Colombe Coffee, and supporting the businesses that support the residents, including historic Pioneer Hardware and the Beverly Hills Market!
Tomorrow morning walkers should prepare for a warm welcome from the Beverly Hills Market and Deli, Tutto Bene Bakery, Pioneer Hardware, Kabuki Salon, Beverly Custom Cleaners and Pascal’s Salon; the businesses that continue to bring great services to the residents of Beverly Hills. For the #BHHealthyCity initiative, besides a healthy body and healthy soul, Mayor Bosse wants Beverly Hills to have a healthy community, with great relationships with the local businesses.
Pioneer Hardware has been a staple for the residents of Beverly Hills for more than five decades, providing not only home improvement items but an inventory of great household items from cleaning to kitchen. Handyman services in your home, repairs and even a Notary service continue to make this business a favorite of locals.
The Beverly Hills Market and Deli has served the community for over 25 years as a source for a delicious sandwich, fine catering and even freshly-squeezed juices for health-conscious residents. Their lunch specials are yummy, and Shawn is well-known in the community for their contributions to many local events.
Tutto Bene is the go-to bakery and eatery for locals in-the-know who want a beautifully decorated unique pastry for a special occasion or a bowl of their homemade soup. Pascals, Kabuki Salon, the US Post Office and the Beverly Custom Cleaners offer much-needed services in a convenient location with parking available.
Walkers will also visit La Colombe Coffee Roasters, home of the Draft Latte. Perhaps you have ventured a taste of this remarkable brew; coffee lovers agree that it is out of this world! But don’t shake it! This iced, canned delicacy barely contains itself, and a shake upsets the delicate balance and leaves the shaker covered in precious Jo.
La Colombe finely roasts their own beans, gathering from the rarest single-source beans around the world. Todd Carmichael and JP Iberti founded La Colombe on a simple but profound premise: America Deserves Better Coffee. By sourcing and roasting with care, and borrowing on ancient and modern coffee traditions from around the world, the two have built a successful company and an elevated coffee experience for Americans.
Walk with the Mayor is one of Mayor Lili Bosse’s most delightful signature events, and takes place every Monday morning. Walks begin at 8:30 a.m. on the Crescent steps of Beverly Hills City Hall. All are welcome; bring the dog (on a leash)! Wear comfortable walking shoes and parking is free in the lot adjacent to the Beverly Hills Public Library on Rexford Drive.
