Beverly Hills residents are invited to a brief ceremony at 5:30-6 p.m., at Fire Station No. 1 on Rexford Drive in remembrance of the 16th anniversary of the events of September 11.

The City’s First Responders were joined by Mayor Lili Bosse in a commemoration early this morning to honor those whose lives were lost on 9/11/2001, those who rushed in to save them, and those who are still fighting to protect Americans around the world.

This evening’s ceremony will begin with Beverly Hills Fire Chief Greg Barton, Police Chief Sandra Spagnoli and Mayor Lili Bosse.

The brief ceremony will include remarks from 9/11 survivor Geoffrey Wharton, ringing of the memorial bell, color guard and the laying of the wreath on the City’s 9/11 memorial garden.

The public is invited to attend this solemn event in honor of 9/11.
