The Beverly Hills Police Department this week announced the arrest of a man suspected of a violent sexual assault in April.

The assault occurred on April 22 near Wilshire Boulevard and Merv Griffin Way, when a woman who was walking westbound from West Hollywood was grabbed from behind and pulled to a secluded area nearby, where the man attempted to sexually assault her before fleeing the area.

Days after the incident, the BHPD released surveillance snapshots, which were published in the Courier among many other outlets, of a man on a bicycle who was believed to be the assailant.
