Nancy Sinatra Sr, First Wife of Frank Sinatra, Dead at 101

Nancy Sinatra Sr, Frank Sinatra’s first wife and mother to his three children, has died at the age of 101.
The news was conveyed in a tweet from daughter Nancy Sinatra, which says, “My mother passed away peacefully tonight at the age of 101. She was a blessing and the light of my life. Godspeed, Momma. Thank you for everything.”
As a young jazz singer, Sinatra met Nancy Barbato in 1934. They married on Feb. 4, 1939 and settled in Jersey City, NJ. Shortly after they wed, Sinatra hit the big time with his first record with trumpeter Harry James.
The first of their children, Nancy in 1940 and Frank, Jr. in 1944, were born there.Tine was born in 1948 after they had moved to Toluca Lake, CA.
The couple divorced in 1950, and Frank went on the marry Ava Gardner days later. The marriage ended in 1957, and Nancy never remarried.
Frank Sinatra was married a total of four times. He was married to actress Mia Farrow from 1966–68 and he married Barbara Marx in 1976. The two were married until his death on May 14, 1998.
