Beverly Vista fifth graders expanded their world-view this past week with a special trip to the Korean Cultural Center in Los Angeles.

The meaningful field trip is something that Beverly Vista 5th grade teacher Dessie Jeffries has done with her students for three of the four years that she has taught in Beverly Hills Unified.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity for kids in the city, because it’s so close,” she said. “I have done this trip for many years and every year is fresh and exciting. Students are exposed to ancient and current Korean customs and artifacts, including a lesson in the Korean alphabet.”
