‘Glass’ Keeps Top Spot At Weekend Box Office

M. Night Shyamalan’s “Glass” is the top performer at the North American box office for the second consecutive weekend, taking in $19 million Friday through Sunday at theaters in the United States and Canada, according to industry estimates out Sunday.

The Kevin Hart/Bryan Cranston comedy “The Upside” was in second place as it was last weekend, with an estimated $12.2 million, according to Comscore.

In its sixth weekend in theatres, the mega-hit “Aquaman” took in another $7.3 million, bringing its total domestic take to $316 million.

“The Kid Who Would Be King” debuted in fourth place with $7.2 million.

“Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse” was fifth with $6.1 million.

Rounding out the top 10 releases were “Green Book” ($5.4 million) , “A Dog’s Way Home” ($5.2 million), “Serenity” ($4.8 million), “Escape Room” ($4.2 million) and “Mary Poppins Returns” ($3.1 million).
