Want to know what a $120 million home looks like? Look no further than Holmby Hills.
After almost four years on the market, The Manor – a 123-room mammoth of a mansion in Holmby Hills – was sold for $120 million.
Although it was reported as a “done deal” this week by the Los Angeles Times, the sale is not yet a public record. The closing price makes it the priciest sale ever in California, according to the Times, just edging out a neoclassical mansion in Silicon Valley that sold for $117.5 million in 2013.
Petra Ecclestone, the heiress of Formula One racing, is the seller. Ecclestone purchased The Manor from Candy Spelling in 2011 in an $85 million cash deal.
