(CNS) – Marianne Williamson is scheduled to speak Monday evening at The Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills as part of her campaign for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination.

There is a $25 suggested donation at the door for the 7:30 p.m. speech.

Williamson, who bills herself as an activist, humanitarian and entrepreneur, declared her candidacy Jan. 28 in a speech at The Saban Theatre, where she regularly speaks, calling for “more than a better version of the same old same old.”

“We need a fundamental disruption of a sociopathic economic order and an alignment of our politics with our deepest democratic and human values,” Williamson said.

Williamson founded Project Angel Food in 1989, which provides food to homebound people with AIDS in the Los Angeles area. Williamson is also the founder of The Peace Alliance, which supports creation of a United States Department of Peace. She has said as president she would establish a cabinet- level Department of Childhood and Youth.

Williamson finished fourth in the 2014 primary in the 33rd Congressional District in the Westside and South Bay, a seat won by Democrat Ted Lieu.

Williamson is the author of 13 books, including “A Politics of Love: A Handbook for a New American Revolution,” published in April. In her concluding statement in the June 27 presidential debate, Williamson said she would “harness love for political purposes” in a general election campaign against President Donald Trump and “love will win.”
