Half a century ago this week, Leonard Kleinrock, distinguished professor of computer science at the UCLA Samueli School of Engineering and his team sent the first message over the Arpanet. In doing so, they transformed his mathematical theory of packet switching into what would become the modern Internet. On Oct. 29, Professor Kleinrock and an illustrious panel of technologists reflected on that day and the future of our connected world at “Internet 50 From Founders to Futurists” at UCLA.
