New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman was arrested in Beverly Hills Jan. 11 after allegedly jumping on a vehicle and damaging it. Lieutenant Elisabeth Albanese said that Beverly Hills Police arrested Edelman at approximately 9 p.m. for vandalism. The incident took place in the 200-block of N. Beverly Drive.
According to published reports and social media posts, Edelman had earlier dined at Cantina FRIDA in Beverly Hills with Boston Celtics great Paul Pierce and Danny Amendola, his former Patriots teammate.
Due to the earlier armed robbery on Canon Drive, there was a large law enforcement presence in the area.
Edelman was the 2019 Super Bowl MVP. But, this year, his team failed to make the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs. Edelman was released on a citation and is scheduled to appear at the Airport Courthouse on April 13.
