The Beverly Hills Police Department Traffic Bureau will be conducting a sobriety and driver license checkpoint on Feb. 28 at an undisclosed location within city limits. The checkpoint will be operational from approximately 9:00 p.m. to around 3:00 a.m.. All traffic will pass through the checkpoint. Drivers will be stopped by Beverly Hills uniformed police officers, who will be checking for alcohol and/or drug-impaired drivers. In addition to the sobriety check, officers will also make sure that all drivers have a valid driver license. Sergeant Gregg Mader informed the Courier that there will be another Sobriety checkpoint this summer funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
